    Something Is Wrong

There seems to be a malfunction with the "New Posts" feature. Whenever I click on it, I get an error message. Everything else seems to be working properly as I can go from forum to forum without any trouble.

EDIT: Never mind, I logged off and then back on again and that fixed it.

Well, it didn't fix it for long. Just came back to the site and when I clicked on New Posts I got that error message again. Anyone else experiencing this?

I've been seeing it since yesterday. I haven't tried the log off/log on yet.

Ahh. I didn't actually use it when I was reading this morning. Could very well have been occurring since yesterday.
I did let Mark and Sam know. Typically we get a Database error and it is site wide. The server needs rebooted when that happens. This is something else.

That's the link I always use. Never noticed the "New Posts" link before now.

                  I can add this:
NewPosts works OK if you don't log in.
But if you log in and then do NewPosts then it redirects to the database error message.

So, the database failure is probably happening when it looks up the user in the username database to find the last post that was looked at by that user.

I am seeing the Data-Base error when I try to use the search function. I thought maybe wrong info and it was not finding anything so I entered "saw" and got the message.

                    It's broke.

That is not what happened to me yesterday. When I logged off and then logged back in, the New Posts worked for me. However it did appear to be a one time deal as the next time I visited the site the New Posts prompt sent me to the error message. If you're not logged in as a member how can it tell what posts were or weren't new since the last time you visited? Wouldn't it be showing every post ever posted as being "new"? Interesting that it shows something to non-members but directs members to the error message.

I think normally, when you're not logged in the new posts do work, but it is based on the date of your last cookie.

I still get "error message" when clicking "new posts" whether I log off/on or not.

The "database error" also occurs when I try to use the "find all posts by <user>" feature.

New Posts worked for me a bit earlier, there were no new posts to display tho, now back to data base error.
Sometimes the old man passed out and left the am radio on so I got to hear the oldie songs and current event kind of things
