    My Replies Are Not Displayed

I just noticed this morning that when I reply to a post, the forum system acknowledges the reply (i.e. I can see that I am the last poster and the time of my post is correct) but the actual reply does not appear. For example, in thread:

    http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=53395

I posted a reply to entry #9 from Black Wallnut but after 3 hours the reply text still does not appear. Could somebody maybe have a look??

For the past several month I've been using Firefox, now at version 3.6.16. Firefox displays the first nine posts in that thread.

I just tried IE7. Ten posts appear on the first page, with numbers 11, 12, and 13 on a second page. Firefox only displays the first nine.

Very odd. I'll have to jump over to the Firefox forum and snoop around - maybe there is an answer there.

Try hitting F5 to refresh. You might be seeing a cached copy.

IE 7? Sounds like you need to run Windows Update...

You could also upgrade to Firefox 4 http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/product...nux&lang=en-US

(You might have to correct for OS since that URL is for the Linux version...)

Change your Thread display mode in CP to "newest first" or "oldest first" and see if that helps, then re-post.

Depending on your settings F5 may still display cached content as only looks for "if modified" content. Ctrl-F5 will force a full refresh. Those behaviors are for FireFox, they're browser dependent and do behave somewhat differently from one browser to the next.

That was the problem all right. It's been a long time since I've had to do that kind of a refresh. Thank you. Now I can see the full thread.

                  Dbhost,

I'll update my Firefox to version 4. Thanks for the tip!
