    Forum Issues

Thanks to all that have reported the current problems we are having with our forum. Sam is currently on a backpacking trip and is not available to fix the problems. I have tried everything in my power including rebooting the server that our database is hosted on. I've been in contact with Adele and she will alert Sam as soon as he arrives home. Sorry for any inconvience this is causing.

Thanks also to those that have PM'd me ideas to try. As Admin I have limited permissions and have gone as far as I can to fix the issues.

Thanks for your patience and understanding as we wait for these issues to resolve.

As a matter of fact, I was. lol

See if things aren't feeling better folks. I have ran a repair/optimize on all the forum tables in the database and also have rebuilt thread and post info.

I am running out to my son's baseball game now but will be back home in a few hours. If you find something still "wonky", post it up here and I'll fix it upon my return.

The number of replies is incrementing now, whree t always showed zero before. Also the owner of the latest post is now showing, where in the past only the OP was listed.

Looks good, Sam. I won't tell Adele where you were.

Thanks, Sam! Things seem to be running better right now, but I'm wigged out on pain killers at the moment, so it might be that things are the same but I'm hallucinating…

Looks like the SQL repair and updated counters did it. I haven't been able to duplicate anything like what had been happening in the last several days.

            Yea!

Ahh, the good old reindex and table reorg worked again.

I've never used mySQL before, just a touch of DBII, Pervasive and MSSQL, but the fixes almost always seem to be the same.

Thanks for the work, Sam. Hope you enjoyed the trip.
