Hit the Edit button. On the next screen there is a button for Deleting.

Thanks Ken - just saw the other thread and then came back here to delete my post - you beat me to it.

I guess I'd better stop procrastinating and send off that check...

I was wondering how something was deleted as well. This software leaves a vapor trail when something is deleted. I only usually delete spammers, and I don't think we needed a trail or remnant of that. I suppose it really doesn't matter though. It keeps better track of things this way.

At the bottom of the text box, you don't have a "Delete" button to the right of the "Go Advanced" button?

i just posted a new topic called 'i am going to delete this test ...' and when i hit edit there is not 'delete' button next to the 'advanced' button.

in this thread when i hit edit for the first post, the same thing happens - no delete button.

however, for my second post in this thread, when i hit edit - i DO see a delete button. strange huh??

i just checked again and i do see a 'delete' button for the previous post on this thread - but not the first post in the thread.

i am going to try the other thread by posting a second message to see if that works.

I doubt the software will let you delete an entire thread, just a post. Deleting a thread, even one you started, would delete other people's posts.

                        hi sam,

i think i see what's happening - at least in my case.

when i make a new post and hit edit - i don't see a 'delete' option next to advanced.

when i reply to the first post, then edit, the 'delete' option does show.

not sure what that all means.

that makes sense - thanks. i see the 'delete' button does show up on all posts subsequent to the original. just a little different than the snitz forum method. but, this system is great a big improvement!!
