          Mike,
          you'll start out with something like this when you first hit the reply with quote button

          {quote}{i}Originally posted by silverfox{/i}
          {br}{quote}{i}Originally posted by silverfox{/i}
          {br}Hmmmn...I don't know how to do that well either.....should test it here myself. I should come here more often....only been here about 2 times.
          Mike
          {/quote}
          But....what if I only want to show PART of the quote??
          Mike
          {/quote}

          Now just delete the text that you don't want,

          {quote}{i}Originally posted by silverfox{/i}
          {br}<s>{quote}{i}Originally posted by silverfox{/i}
          {br}Hmmmn...I don't know how to do that well either.....should test it here myself. I should come here more often....only been here about 2 times.
          Mike
          {/quote}</s>
          But....what if I only want to show PART of the quote??
          <s>Mike</s>
          {/quote}

          and you should end up with something like this....

            If you reply to a message and look closely at the stuff in your edit box,
            you will see that there are html quote pairs :{quote} and {/quote}
            (I subbed { and } for [ and ] so as not to invoke the html interpreter) around the original message.

            Within the original message may be other quote pairs.

            YOu can edit or delete entire quote pairs or anything between associated quote pairs. Just make sure you don't unbalance the quote pairs i.e. each {quote} must have a matching {/quote}

            I often delete most of the quote if I am replying to or commenting on a single statement just to put the reply in context.

              I just copy the part of the quote that I want to use then paste it between the quote symbols.
