As you know, controversy has found us. We didn't go looking for it, but it found us none the less. I predict that we are in for a significant period of time where we will be joined by immature visitors who delight themselves in creating so much animosity on Internet forums that the forums nearly burn down from the flames.
So, it is with the utmost urgency that I beg of each and every one of us, let's just let it go. I have been guilty of replying to posts on this forum when I should have let it die. (Incidentally, Adele gets a BIG "I told you so” on that one!) I am now COMPLETELY FINISHED with public discussion of the situation, which includes the chat room. I am still dealing with the situation privately via e-mail with some involved parties and it is my goal to have it wrapped up soon.
Additionally, the worst thing we can do is to start a turf war. Don't get me wrong, we all have the right to say what we want where we want, but sometimes it is wise to evaluate whether saying it is worth the trouble it will bring you. I'm sure many of you have ventured over to woodworking.com's forum and viewed the thread as it has evolved. When reading it, before getting angry and "saying what needs to be said", take a look at how unkind that the posters over there are acting. Do we want to look like that?
Finally, for me to delete Tim's posts, lock the thread, or delete his account without him requesting me to would be wrong. The only time I delete posts is if they are blatantly vulgar or offensive, or if they are in any way illegal. Also, the only time I will ever delete a user's account is if it is per their request.
Now, let's move on, shall we?
