    Jointech SAWTRAIN for Ryobi

I've been contemplating and admiring the sawtrain for my bt3000.

Does anyone out there own one?

    Any pro's or con's?

Thanks in advance to all replies.

Review this....it costs more than the saw! I am sure the review will be glowing - they make a great product...tough to justify the price in my mind. Love to see the review.

Yeah, three times more than the saw. I was chatting with Woodmeister about this yesterday and while it would be good for a production shop (as he suggested) so would three more saws.

It looks like a great tool but short of winning one in a drawing I can't see myself with one.

OTOH, I am very happy to see an upscale toolmaker even acknowledging that the BT3 series even exists.

Looking forward to this review as well.

I stand on the issue this way personally, I think we have a great saw, now saying that doesn't mean it's perfect. I realize that a lot of time and effort went into the design and manufacture of this Jointech adaptation. I can not afford one right now, and my shop is to narrow, but if I build on or get a new shop, trying to work on that now, I'm going to get one. Bill

It sure does look neat though.

neat and expensive. Or expensive and neat? Hmm.. But neat nonetheless.

                        Thank you for your support.

I think that thing is really, really slick. I like the company. I think they make precision products. With that said, it sure is difficult to justify that kind of money. I'm sure if thousands of people bought it, the price would drop...just like anything else, they have to recoup their initial R&D. I would LOVE to have one but probably never will. I have been waiting for Sam's review and am happy he is nearly ready to unveil his findings.

Uuumm, the review has been posted for a couple of weeks now. It is the first article on the main page of this site and I also made the following post:

                            http://www.bt3central.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4297

You even replied to it. Were you looking for more in the review? Maybe some specific questions I could answer?
