    Small Tool Dust Collector ADAPTER

I think maybe a few of you got your email from FastCap with this new adapter for dust collection on smaller tools. Looks good; thought I would pass it along:

Clever. Those odd sized dust ports are a real pain in the butt.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

I haven't ordered one. I DID order the adapter kit from Rockler about 3+ years ago, and it does great for small tools.

I think the new one from FastCap will fill a void though. I hate it when I have to use an adapter to an adapter to get the vac hose connected effectively.

Colon cancer screenings were just reduced to my age group so all I can think to call this is the "sphincter".

It is a good idea, though. I have made tool purchases based on compatibility with my dust hoses, but really, it should be the other way around.

I like the design. I wonder how well the sphincter grips the tool port? The O.D. is too large to fit my 1/4 sheet palm sander and my Bosch ROS, both of which require small diameter adapters. Fortunately, the old ShopVac universal adapter makes these work.
