    I screwed a 2x6 on the top of each. They have taken plenty of abuse of the years and are as solid and tight as the day I bought them.
    I have a pair of these as well with a 2x4 screwed to each one. Folded up, they stack nicely on a shelf or stand in the corner. I've had them 10+ years and they still stand up they way they did when they were new.
