  • Off season dust covers for air conditioners and heaters?

Just a dumb though. It is now getting cool enough, that the air conditioner is a moot point for quite a few months, and I would LOVE to keep the dust out of it. My oil filled radiator heater likewise is a great sawdust collector.

While I have made huge strides in dust collection and control, I was wondering, what else can I use to keep these items clean in the off season since they stay in the shop? Not just from dust, but also stupid spills and such.

What, if anything are you guys and gals using?

5 mil plastic and duct tape. When people comment, I puff out my chest and say 'Yep, I made that' and watch them struggle trying not to laugh.

Eh, I guess I can just cover it up with a contractor trash bag and some duct tape... I was hoping for something a bit less redneck...

Redneck is an old shower curtain,
        or maybe a trash bag

How about a box made of 1/4" plywood (glue, brads) with an inside lip to attach some weatherstripping and small magnets? Less redneck, easy to remove, no tape residue, and finally a way to get rid of the plywood scrap.

If you're an overachiever, you could even paint them.

            Now that's just not right.

            Cover 'em in sawdust!
