I have a 12" RAS that has been sitting idle waiting for me to move it to an outside basement wall where there is a 220v receptacle. I am now thinking I would like to leave the saw where it is and run a 220v line to it.
My question is: Is there any problem codewise or other restriction on installing a 220v receptacle in the unfinished basement ceiling? The saw is located in the middle of the room so I can't put a receptacle on the wall without using a long cord.
Another solution would be to rewire the saw back to 110v as it was when I bought it, but it runs better on 220v.
Any suggestions?
