    Advice on shop layout

I got out of the construction business and took a job with my wife along my side running a lodge and B&B. The owners are building me a shop in which to work. I was wondering if anyone out there knows of a simple site that has plans on how to arrange my shop for the best fit?

Welcome, tinwhip. The Grizzly planner is darn good and I go back to it on the occassional 'nothing to do' kind of evening and tweek the layout, comparing what I see with how it seems to be working. You can save your layout for future reference.

One thing about hanging out with this bunch, though - they will (OK, *we* will) make you ravenous for more tools, better techniques and more projects. There are some pretty darn good heads here so pull up a PC and enjoy!

          Welcome to the family tinwhip.

Ironhat, I could not agree more. IMHO, this site will further your education in woodworking and tool buying more than anything else you try. You will find many helpful people here and it's all friendly.

Just a word of advice....be prepared for jefferey's coupon updates, he has a way of helping deplete bank accounts.....HAHA

Thanks for the replys. Not sure how to use the icons on the grizz site a I have no grizz tools. I have more of a hodgepodge of brands. Delta TS and Ryobi TS. Ridgid Jointer and OBS.. Stuff isn't the same size as the grizz stuff and I am trying to put in all in a 20X20 shop. Ihad a shop like that but things didn't flow and was hard to keep clean.

In this case the color of equipment doesn't matter. The site just gives you the option to select equipment of a similar size so you can adjust your layout.
