    Kirby’s Shed: 11. Overhead

Nothing exciting here. What you would expect I guess:

And that concludes the tour, folks.

I hope I've given you some ideas...

Thanks Rod for taking the time and giving us the tour! It certainly gave me some ideas. I'll be glad (and my wife will be very very surprised) If I could organize my shop 10% of yours

I guess so. When they lay the tiles they always put that stuff immediately under them (like thick paper). In my case, it stops outside dust blowing in!

Thanks for all your work in putting this tour together, Rod. We *do* appreciate. I think the things that you said that were the most inspiring to me were (roughly), "Don't sweat it. Different strokes for different folks", and " It's been an 11 year process". Nice touch of reality for those who wish that they were "living up to" your standards. Eleven years ago these weren't your standards and in a few more you will have changed again, somewhat.
                          Thanks again, Rod!

The difference between Rod & my shop/shed/garage

I think Rod's outdoors must all be planted in MDF trees and marine plywood trees.

One thing Rod does that I can't seem to do, is dedicate 100% of every square inch of his shop (OK, maybe that odd little 2-drawer file cabinet) to woodworking. I don't see any tools, storage or other items evidencing a life other than woodworking. Not that its bad...

                            Me, I have
                            (1) fishing stuff ( yes, I can justify having 12 rods and reels...), nets, two ro three tackle boxes, ice chests, bait buckets etc.
                            (2) Yard tools (incl lawnmover, edger, shovels, rakes, ladders, power hedge trimmers, power pole saws, shears, clippers, bagging stuff etc) which drags a bunch of dirt into the shop, BTW
                            (3) bicycles (and bicycle related stuff- tools, spare inner tubes, chains, gears, tire repair kit)
                            (4) electronics stuff
                            (5) auto maintenance tools and stuff + oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, battery charger(2), antifreeze
(5.5) mops and buckets and brushes and soaps and waxes for carwashing and floorcare
                            (6) old computer parts
                            (7) kids stuff (baskets of basketballs, and kids toys I should get rid of except one day I may have grandkids - that's the excuse)
                            (8) old camping stuff - tent, bed rolls, camping stove, lanterns, stools, etc
                            (9) water hoses, spare sprinkers, springker parts for the in-ground sprinkler that needs a lot of maintenance
                            (10) chemicals - fertilizer, insecticides, ant granules, termiticide, potting soil, herbicides, pre-emergent herbicides
                            (11) gardening (wifes) pots, potting soil, lots of pots, spades, hoes, rakes, edging
                            (12) optional - comfort stuff - radio, TV, icebox
                            (13) Christmas decorations - 7' artificial tree + ornaments + decorations

Question 1 - Where does Rod keep all his non-WW stuff

Question 2 - Where do you all keep this stuff?

Question 3 - where's all the projects in progress? I must have 3 or 4 in various stages of completion.

Question 4 - where the cars (Mine got displaced long ago.)

                              Loring:

Q1. In Carole's (Quilting) Shed (1 car Garage - wet floor when it rains)

                              Q2. See above

Q3. None in progress at the moment (I've been taking all these pics )

Q4. Car ports - as long as I am alive there will NEVER be a car in MY Shed

BTW Loring - how about some pics of YOUR Shop?
