    HF Air Filter System questions

    Thanks to everyone for the feedback on the Dust Collector. I bought it yesterday with the 20% discount coupon I learned about here. Thanks!

    Now I am wondering if anyone has one of these;

    What are your thoughts on it? How well does it work? Any problems?

    I see it comes with a filter that traps down to 5 micron. I was wondering if there was a way to replace the standard filter with one that would trap dust 1 micron or less? What is the size of the filters for this unit? Where can I buy replacement filters for it?

    Also, how often does stuff go on sale at HF? I don't think I can swing this one for a few more weeks and it will be off sale by then.

    thanks,
    Kevin

    the dimensions are 30 x 12 x 24
    I'm pretty sure it will take a 12 x 24 furnace filter there in the front.
    You can buy standard furnace filters in HEPA configurations if you want.

    But usually (like my Delta) the air cleaner uses a standard furnace filter in front then a finer pleated filter behind it.

    If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

      I hadn't seen that before. The price sure seems right. Was it available in-store, or order only?
