well, we moved the day before christmas eve in 2005. the first project was to get the shop up and running. it's finished, has been and i've been meaning to post it. this is my first dedicated shop. shared laudry room before. the first and bottom left picture show the old location. the others are from the new shop.
the overhead lights are a joy, my old shop had a bare bulb --1.
i had to run the juice, build the wall with the door($20 from HD--a steel exterior fire door special order, never picked up--280 tag on it) and hang the drywall on the ext wall and the new built wall. then i epoxied the floor.
vitals:
it's about 11x23
1 15amp circiut with the ceiling outlets (lights, air cleaner, operated by wall switch)
1 20 amp-single plug under box, used for shop vac/dc
1 20 amp-mutliple outlets along wall where either tablesaw/miter saw live
1 15 amp-multiple outlets around brown bench for sanders, chargers, radio, drill, drill press etc.
the picture is of Scott Phillips of The American Woodshop, very nice guy, had the occasion to meet him a couple of years ago, and when he came back to town a year later, he still remembered me and what we talked about. it hangs with pride near the door.
now on with the real projects i suppose.
