Depending on the size you need I bought a JESSEM. It was $50 at woodcraft. They have uncut pieces for much less if you want to drill your own. I think around $23. and 3/8" LEXAN for $12 I think. In either case the pieces are more than big enough for any router aplication.

I agree with AlanJ though that the leveling srews are great and the insert rings lock in place. depending on what your table is made out of you could put leveling srews in the table. My jessem table has screws holes to put screws in to level the plate from the table instead of the plate. There were no screws in it though. Not sure if there should have been or not.
Its fine with the plate screws though. On my small craftsman table I made one out of Lexan but drilled one of the holes a little to fast and cracked it.
