Deadman footswitch and HF speed control

I have the Treadlite II footswitch linked below(T-91-SC3A). I am wondering if it can used in conjuction with HF speed control without causing any problems to the PC 690 router. I don't know squat about electricity, except don't touch it while standing in a water puddle. I really need some advice. I don't want to screw up my router but if it works it would sure be a nice system.

it should be no problem using the switch in conjunction with the speed control, either order of connecting one to the tool or to the wall will work, too. (EE speaking from knowledge)

I will caution this though, the switch you have to keep a foot on, that means when standing you wil have one foot fixed in space with the heel on the ground and the ball of the foot on the switch and your other foot balanced somewhere and be feeding stock with your hands. I found that its hard to keep balance that way. You really ca'n move either foot to rebalance as you shift position from feeding or getting comfortable (WW speaking from experience).

Maybe if you were sitting it would be a different ballgame.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.
