    how to heat a garage

Yes, I know thee was just a topic on this, but my case is different. I have an un-insluated single car garage. I don't plan on insulating it, but I would like to heat atleast half of it. I currently have a space heater (I get the specs in a minute... Rush is on the radio, 'The Sprit of Radio' and 'Closer to The Heart', but that's a totally different discussion) Would that be ample? the space I want to heat is about 14'x 10'ish... Is there a better way to heat my garage? I only need it warm enought that I don't need a jacket or hat while I'm in the garage.

1320 watts, 115 volts, so about 12 amps. A check on homedepot.com shows that most heaters now run at about 1500 watts, or about 13 amps.

no problem you just gotta teach the heated air to stay in your half of the garage.... :-)

you might think about the differences between a radiant heater and a convection heater. The former heats objects by radiating directly to them if you stand in front of it you will feel the warmth. A convection heater heats by warming the air and letting it circulate around.

[8)] ~ love the "Rush" interlude. I would've had to stop at that point too. Permanent Waves is one of my favorite albums. Pre-Signals era really was their best, wasn't it?

Sorry, couldn't leave that one alone...[^]

I finish this thread once and for all by saying that I saw them in Vancouver on the Echoes tour..They played the entire 2112 album non-stop during the second half of the show. That swayed me a little.
