Updated Shed pics (lots)

Aha! So it's true that the sawdust falls upwards in Oz. I bet his shed ceiling is as caked up as my gar^H^H^Hshop floor. []

No dust = ok
lots of dust = ok

little bit of dust = not ok

I've said it before and I will say it again. I don't think you actually build anything there. It is way too clean. If I kept my shop that clean I wouldn't have time to do anything except clean it.

Looks like you had to raise the disk sander stand a bit. I like how you did the raise, looks very sturdy. How do you have the grinder mounted, is it on a stand or wall shelf? If it is on a stand could you post a pic?

I wondered if anyone would spot that - well done!

When I had to round all the ends of the DP DC "scoop" (12 corners!), I was reminded that 1) The sander has always been a little low and 2) My back is a whole lot older than when I first made it So...

1. Decide how high to raise it - this took the longest time
2. Cut the 4 new "extenders", drill the holes in the ends for the 3/8" leveling feet t-nuts.
3. Cut the 1/4" marine ply "joiners", drill the mounting holes.
4. Glue/screw the joiners and extenders together.
5. Tip the stand on its back, remove the leveling feet and the t-nuts.
6. Tap the t-nuts into the new extenders.
7. Glue/clamp the new extenders/joiners to the old legs, and when dry...
8. Screw the joiners to the old legs.
9. Clear finish to match the stand.
10. Screw in the leveling feet.
11. With a helper - lift the stand upright, NOT using the legs as a pivot.

The grinder is on a wall shelf.
