    Moble outfeed table

I'm in process of building an outfeed table for my moble base mounted Powermatic 64. The requirements are that it must be usable for the planer and drum sander and easily storable. Legs have trailer toung jacks that allow 10"+ of elevation change. Finish is to be determined later.

Oh! That is nice! I don't need any more projects and then you put this one in my brain!

      And space saving too!

great idea, do you have to remove the TS fence to have it sit over the top?

The rip fence does not have to be removed but that requires jacking up the legs another 4 inches so I will probably take the fence off. The moble base has a void beside the saw cabinet that houses the rip fence fine. It takes about 5 minutes to jack all 4 legs up from saw height to on top of the table height. Adjusting the height and level of this table is easy.

Instead of using the crank to turn the jack how about modifying the crank so that you could use a cordless drill to turn the mechanism?

Looks good Cap. I'm not familiar with the jack operation - do you have to jack each leg up independently, or do they all crank up at the same time? Also, do you plan to keep the top plywood, or something else, like melamine or hardboard?

This project was started in Jan this year and I have not needed to move the tablesaw or the outfeed table. I need my auto shop space back so it is time to roll the outfeed table on top of the saw and roll them into the wood shop as designed. I've been second guessing whether it will really fit in the shop, whether it will be able to make the turn though the double doors, will I be able to rotate it 45 degrees after its in the shop. Hurray, it fit, actually fit better than I hoped for. After all the other portable equipment is rolled in I have my auto shop back. When I sold the Sears bt clone and got the powermatic table saw my wood shop became too small and required the use of the auto shop for the table saw and outfeed table.

Pretty cool. Makes me think of these Skycrane helicopters.
