Pending projects that need to be completed...

I have a few projects that are now pressing me HARD for time, and attention... Some are wood related, some are not. They are, not necessarily in this order.

#1. Clean my shop. It's a disaster, and desperately needs to be cleaned up. I have already started it. one issue is my oil drain / catch pan for auto work has to live in here too, and my truck is broken so I have to haul it to the parts house in the trunk of the car to drain it. Nasty...
#2. Transmission fluid and filter change on the Saturn. Good thing they designed those with spin on filters and drain plugs!
#3. Replace the kitchen sink faucet and sprayer. It's been leaking, leading me to the next project.
#4. Replace kitchen sink cabinet bottom panel in place. This will mean tearing out the existing, sizing up replacement panels, creating cleats for the replacement panels to ride on, attach the cleats, attach the panels, which will be 2 with a seam in the middle and a piece of simple molding connecting them.
#5. Pushing the point with LOML to FINALLY be able to just paint the existing cabinets. She wants them stained, but stripping and re staining them has been a pain in the backside. She wants it done, I just don't have time or energy to get it done... I either need help, or the go ahead to slap paint on these dumb things... In the long run we are going to replace the cabinets, but for now I just want the dumb things done so I can move forward with other projects.
#6. Replace entire timing set, chains, guides, tensioners, phasers, plus oil pump, water pump, thermostat, belts hoses etc... on my truck, fix the IWE system, and swap in my heavy duty front coils to compensate for the winch and winch mount...

I have my hands full and then some. I need either less stuff to do, or more of me...

I've often wondered if I could work with a clone of myself or if we'd be stumbling over ourselves all the time.

My wife is the prototypical example of the Honey Do List provider. I'm still slogging through the kitchen remodel (paint isn't cooperating with my sprayer) and also painting the exterior of the house and also planning for my county fair entry. The other night she says, "When you're done with the kitchen, can you start on the bathroom remodel?" She doesn't even bother with the royal "WE" anymore.

I think she's trying to kill me.

I had a failure of the seat back recliner on the Saturn, and GM no longer makes the parts I need, so I had to source up seats from a wrecking yard. I found a nice 2002 SL2 interior in Houston, and snagged the seats. They were in great shape, but dirty as all get out. I took them home much to my wife's chagrin, and got a bottle of Armor All Oxy Magic upholstery cleaner and a Shark Steam Cleaner after them. Now they look brand spanking new and are oh so comfy...

The peeled off paint is off of the trunk lid, in place is a nice heavy coat of gray epoxy primer, along with some never before noticed need for a light skin of bondo as I have a gouge in the plastic fender on the passenger side that is too deep to sand out. The former owner had a girlfriend that keyed the car up pretty badly, I never thought it went past paint, but it did...

I am going to get after the hood possibly tonight while I have daylight.

For those interested, My Central Pnuematic 29 gallon 2HP oil lubricated air compressor + 8 gallon 2HP oil lubricated compressor dual compressor job is keeping up with the Husky Dual Action sander quite nicely. Not sure of the item number, it looks a bit different from the ones in store now though... REALLY liking this compressor, and the HF hose reel...

The Carbon steel hole saw sets, doesn't matter the item number, they all seem to be the same. A former coworker / college friend of mine is now managing a HF near me, he tells me all the Carbon Steel sets are simply too soft to reliably cut anything harder than balsa wood or sheet rock. HOWEVER, if you need dirt cheap hole saws to say cut one or two big round holes in Hardie Panel like I did for my AC, then these are perfect because you simply don't give half a rip what happens to them once you are done, and they are cheap enough to be disposable / recycleable...
