    Sliding cabinet door track

    Hello:
I'm working on a cabinet (Eagle Scout project) that has sliding doors.
The doors are 1/4' plywood installed in the plactic door track.
How do you guys mount the track to the case?
I used some small wood screws, but that just doesn't seem right.
My brad and finish nailers are to big to fit in the slot.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Mel

    Contact cement works pretty good.

I have had real good luck using JB weld in cases where I couldn't use screws or brads

you could always do it the old fashined way - use a hammer, nailset, and finishing nails.
A nailset is like a small punch used to set finishing naisl with small heads just below the surface for appearance without the hammer marring the surface (or in this case, below the rails.)
Sorry - no power tool solution.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

The plastic door tracks are very thin. Using a finish nail would likely go through the track by the time the head seated. The backsides of many of those tracks aren't absolutely flat, due to the extrusion forming process for the tracks. The track could experience some slight sponginess with the use of nails or brads which eventually would work the track loose.

There's enough flat on the back to offer sufficient contact area. I've used contact cement for both plastic and aluminum track without problems. FWIW.
