What projects do you have planned?

I'm curious what projects everyone has planned for the near future? I'm thinking woodworking related, but, other types of projects are welcome, too. I have several I'd like to do, here are a few:

-Bookcase for my oldest son's room.
-Bookcase or curio for living room so I can get my wife's figurines out of the entertainment center.
-Finish a pair of pens for a friend & his dad. I have been fortunate to have been invited flyfishing & hunting numerour times by them and I thought it would be a nice gesture of appreciation. (Perhaps accompanied by a bottle of scotch)
-Planter/bird feeder for the backyard. I saw an ad a couple of years ago for one & it seemed like it might make a neat project. Both of my boys like having bird feeders to fill.

That's just a few. I'll probably be lucky if I get one or two completed this year.

Oh projects. Boy do I have projects... I'm going to compress a bit to save time.

The front hallway painting is done, as is the angled wall in the living room. So my next few projects are...

    NON WOODWORING OR SHOP RELATED.
#1. Finish taping, mudding, texturing and painting in the living room, dining room, kitchen and hallway between bedrooms.
#4. Replace the almond outlets and switches with the bright white Decora outlets, and backlit Decora switches. (I am sick and tired of fumbling for a light switch at 2:00 A.M. when I need to use the bathroom!)
#5. Finish painting and installing shelves in main bathroom linen closet.
#6. Finish remodel on main bath. This means finish stripping ALL wallpaper, texturing, priming and painting the walls, changing out the mirror, ripping out the tub surround tile and faucet, replacing with not 1980s junk.
#7. Replace ceiling fans, and overhead lighting fixtures throughout the house. We are chucking out the bright brass and crystal / glass stuff from 1984 and replacing it with antique bronze or wrought iron and frosted glass units.
#8. Install the front receiver hitch on the truck. I need to get it in the shop for tires, and an alignment, but once done, I want to rig a front hitch, wiring so that I can use a winch at either end of the truck whatever the need be...
#9. Finish removing 5 drought and beetle killed trees (write the check to get it done).
#10. Replace ALL the flooring in the house (write the check and move the furniture etc...), one to two rooms at a time.
#11. Rework window box / bay window in master bedroom, and repaint master suite, stripping wallpaper in the bath and going with a more modern textured paint.
#12. Replace undersized tub with full size tub, with jacuzzi jets, tile with more theme fitting tile, and faucets Antique Bronze American Standards in master bath.
#13. Aromatic cedar line master suite closet.
#14. Replace windows with hurricane rated low-e windows, siding with Hardi Panel. (Write the check and make sure they do it right).
#15. Replace the gutters with vinyl gutters. I have had birds fly into my old aluminum ones and smash them up...
#16. Create garden boundaries, and paths in front yard with cast, stained concrete pavers (have the molds, just need the crete and stain, not to mention time). Till up area between and fill with planting mix, mix in PLENTY of Miracle grow. Let LOML go wild with plantings.

    WOODWORKING OR SHOP RELATED.
#1. Get 18" deep x 8' long 3/4 ply shelf (get 18" cutoff done at Home Depot with their panel saw...). Use to create bridge betwween tops of clamshell cabinets. Thus creating a top surface from edge to edge of clamshells exactly 8' wide.
#2. Since the clamshells are 34" wide, that means I will have 28" between the clamshells in the middle. Create 3 shelves flush with the front of the cabs spanning them, to place things like finish cans, and clean rags.
#3. Rip drywall down, and install sub panel and circuits for shop. Install insulation, re-rock, and re-paint shop.
#4. Lose the strong tie workbench entirely in favor of a custom built wall unit that will occupy the space floor to ceiling 6' along that wall. Such that my tool stacking can be done here, as well as documentation, and totes of supplies etc... Each shelf will be no drawer slides. The 6' width is to allow for the freezer to move into the shop.
#5. Table Saw / router table storage workstation.
#6. Lathe storage / ballast cabinet.
#7. IF I can trade off, or sell my floor model drill press for a Ryobi DP121L, or similar, I will build a flip top tool stand sized for the drill press and mortising machine, on wheels of course.
#8. 12x16 shed in the back yard if I can get it by the HOA... This will allow me enough space if I have to, in order to get creative and move the shop to the shed and out of the garage.
#9. Lean to roof for the shed taht will cover the canoe outside.
#10. Folding, rolling miter saw station.
#11. Somewhere in here, I need to epoxy coat the floor.
#12. Complete drum sander build. I am building a 30" wide drum, thicknessing sander, I need to finish the job.
#13. LARGE blanket chest to use as a coffee table, and tall , but boxy cabinet chestish things to use as end tables in the living room.
#14. China Cabinet for dining room.
#15. Kitchen table and bench. (the other side will use pads on the window box / seat). Think farm kitchen table sort of thing.
#16. Amish harvest table and matching chairs for dining room.
#17. Clamp rack. In order to speed things up and get me going on other projects, I will probably order a metal one that just needs to be screwed together...

I am sure there are many others, but these will keep me busy, and broke for the next several years...

        WOODWORKING RELATED
        1. Get shell of new shop built (for this, all I have to do is write the checks)
        2. Wire, insulate, and finish interior of new shop (these jobs are all on me)

        NON-WOODWORKING RELATED
        1. Finish refurb of Miata and get it sold
        2. Various cosmetic enhancements to Mustang

If I can get all this accomplished in the next seven months, I'll be happy, because it means I can get back to actual full-scale woodworking next year.

I had been setting up my shop for years in my basement. Then I moved. Now I'm still setting up shop, and still moving my equipment....

But after that, I have quite a few things to do....

-Built-ins for my closet of my house.
          -Bar/ Wine rack (stand-alone piece).
          -Mission Style Couch.
          -Mission Style Chair.
          -Mission Style bench.
          -Dinning Room Table.
          -Bed.
          -New Desk.
-Speakers (this may be first on my list, actually).
-and I have about 200-300+ Pen kits to make into pens.

So a few things to keep me busy.

              1. Finish the new drawerfront on the left of a pair of vanities. "Oops" moment of placing the vertical pull on the wrong side.
              2. Size and complete the mirror frames for our bathroom, cherry is dimensioned and rabbets are cut, just need to cut to final size and do the bridle joints
              3. Get back to work on that entertainment center that has sat untouched for five months

I'm going to stick to WW projects:

Finish the built-in bookshelves (8 of them) I started two years ago.
Some deck furniture to replace the cheapo set destroyed by the hail storm a month ago.
                A bunch of shop storage.
Try my hand at chip carving.
                Windsor chair.
                Two Morris chairs.
                Learn to spray finish.
                A desk for #1 Son.
                Strip canoe.

                g.

I'm currently working my way through a center storage cabinet in the library, which will be desktop height and will contain two drawers, and four cabinet doors behind which will be stored the electronics for the cable, wireless router, dvd player, etc. Top may hold a widescreen, though I'm fighting against that (wife wants it there, I don't think the library is a place for it... I'm loosing )

After that, it's shutters for the four windows in that room and then all of the base and crown trim for the bookcases.

I've got to reframe two doors and install a third, by fall. But trying to finish the library first.

                  After that:

Trim out the main stair case... I'd like to that wainscoted or paneled in some fashion, but still up in the air on that.

Apply the same design/wood species in the living room fireplace area.

Getting the shop out of the basement and into the backyard (garage addition). I've drawn the plan sketch, but not the details and lumber list. After this past month's drop in my retirement fund, that is unfortunately way off at the moment.

The "head" is working much faster than the body, so there's always something I'd like to do... problem is that the body can't keep up.

                    -clean shop

-finish daughter #2's dresser before she turns 1. Needs final sanding, drawer assembly, and finish applied

-built in bookcase for the bedroom to hold all my WWing mags and wife's growing collection.

                    -bookcase for daughter #1

I'm sure there's more but that's because I'm typing this and not my wife.

My to do list is shrinking. I got the mounting cleats for the linen closet shelves cut and primered last night. Tonight is going to be final paint on the shelves and cleats prior to installation.

The taping / mudding of the joints is almost complete. I have about 4' of ridge beam left to take care of. I am soo stoked about getting this done. This has been a huge hangup for me...

Due to the heat, I am praying for a rainy weekend where I can throw the main breaker off to do the switch and receptacle work. But the supplies are in the shop now.

Got shop projects underway. Specifically turning the braces for the PVC drum for my drum sander, and milled the 2x4s for the drum sander frame. I am teetering on changing the design to a 24" drum and platen. I will be using this for things like cutting boards, and cabinet doors, none of which will be over 24", ever...

I got the truck tagged again, so this weekend it is off to Home Depot to get some plywood for the clamshell cabinet bridge. I keep holding off on this though. I worry that I will end up with having both cabs under the overhead door rails which is bad. I need the space above to house my handheld power tools.
