Keeping moving with the progress as best I can...

Today was brutal. woke up with a tinge of a headache, which when that happens, only leads to one thing, Migrane before the day is out... Thank God for my Microsoft Keyboard. It is nice and quiet! And I touch type so my eyes are closed right now...

I didn't get much done. got the edge jointing on the 9' board done, spent some quality time with paint samples, and LOTS of sanding time on drywall...

Not sure if you have ever noticed, but sanding drywall produces an insane amount of chalk like powder that almost instantly jams the filter of the shop vac. yes I was being lazy and not wanting to drag my Thien behind me. Stupid choice... Now the filter is banged clean enough and the can emptied, tomorrow is another day.... Time to get serious on the flattening!

Be careful with the chaulky dust with only a filter, Dave. I was overhauling one of my bedrooms half a year back, new drywall & flooring - after taping and mudding, a buddy and I were sanding - each sander had a shopvac for dust collection, mine with a bag and a filter, his with only a filter. His filter clogged in a short amount of time, and before either of us noticed, the motor overheated from lack of airflow, and melted and ignited the plastic housing around the motor, and black smoke and flames were pouring out of the top of it - still running. Needless to say, we unplugged it, passed it through the window, and doused it. The reason we didn't notice it overheating was because we were both wearing these (hope you are too) - amazing what doesn't get through a respirator.
