      Thanks. I had a lot of fun building it. There is no stain at all. Just the pigment in the product. The wood takes a deep, rich color when the oil penetrates. I think I used "cedar" color.

      I really liked using this stuff, and it is extremely simple to apply.

      I'm sold on it, regardless of the price. (about $50/gallon delivered)

          I tried the Penofin Red Label in clear and I was not happy with the color. I seem to be the only one. I built my deck out of native cedar. Penofin turned it dark and lost all of the red tones that I love about cedar. I think I will clean it this spring and use the Penofin Red in the Cedar color.

            The "cedar" color made the wood dark, but a very rich, thick red dark. It immediately made the wood look about a foot deep with color. Keep lots of rags on hand, because it can be pretty messy being an oil finish. Wipe it down within 30 minutes after application.
