    What is it called?

When you buy a computer desk these days it comes with holes in the top to run your wires through. The holes also have a little plastic cover to make it look neat.

What do you call that little plastic cover or better yet, where can I buy one?

    Thanks,
    Rand

Grommets. Wire chase covers. I have seen other terms as well.

You can find them at most office supply businesses. They come in different diameters - you'll have to know what size you want.

It's a grommet. Any halfway decent hardware store or office supply house will have them. They come in a variety of sizes, and typically are available in white, gray, black, and a creamy tan colored plastic.

I am guessing the large size ones they used to use to pass parallel cables through probably aren't real popular any more... Not too many parallel port devices on the market anymore, and the old ones are dying off...

Our local Lowe's has a basic selection of grommets. Cheaper than the office supply places, too.

I personally like the ones that double as USB hubs.

Okay, now I have been considering a new desk as I REALLY hate my old particle board one... THIS might just be the tipping point...

Thanks for the help guys. It's really hard to find something if you don't know what it's called.
