Looking for a 1.25" Steel Ball

I would like to make a few Shoot the Moon games for Christmas presents--thanks to the afforementioned Duluth Trading Co. Christmas catalog for the inspiration...

    Anyway, I found some plans:

I can find everything locally except the 1.25" steel ball. Any idea where I could find one? Looking at retail versions of the game online, the ball doesn't seem that big. I would prefer not order, but will if I have to.

not too cheap, but probably very high quality stainless steel balls which is what you will need.

    there's more on ebay,
    try searching
    steel ball 1.25
    steel ball 1-1/4

but they run $4-10 each ball

Do the stainless steel balls freeze as easily as the brass ones?

          Sorry, couldn't resist.

I like looking at McMaster-Carr for hardware and other products. They're selling a 5-pack of 1.25 inch steel balls for $14.59 per pack. They're not stainless steel, though, if that makes a difference. http://www.mcmaster.com/#steel-balls/=9ofofc

They also sell stainless steel balls, but they're $11 each! http://www.mcmaster.com/#stainless-steel-balls/=9ofnz5

And, they have balls made from titanium, chrome steel, Grade M50, Grade S2, Grade E52100, aluminum, ceramic.......
