    stingray skin work.

    Hello All:
I am a small millwork enthusiastic. At the moment i need the best way to cover an entire cabinet with stingray skins. I need someone to help with gluing the skin seamlessly, that the edges of one skins look like a continuation of the others. I think that the step is in the cutting of the skins, but it is a really hard hide. So my question is this. How to cut and glue stingray hides so it looks seamless?

For that, I would think you might have better luck on a leatherwork forum.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

When I saw "Stingray Skins" I was thinking Corvette for some reason...

I am not sure how you would even begin to approach something like that. Sounds tricky...

Cut them like a vinyl flooring patch

To make two pieces of anything butt up against each other seamlessly they both have to have the exact same outside edge line.......easiest way to do that is to overlap the two pieces and cut through them both at the same time. Google vinyl flooring patch and you will get the idea I hope this helps and welcome to the forum.
