    Log furniture type tenons

It's that time of year when I start to plan my vacation projects at my cabin in Nova Scotia. For this year I am hoping to complete the second floor loft with a railing. I'd like to use 3" or so branches with tenons for the "slats". I am thinking of getting a logman type router setup like this:

    http://www.widgetworksunlimited.com/...N_JIG&CartID=1

I've seen the drill mounted tenon cutters from Rockler/Woodcraft but they require a larger drill than I have. I like router type jigs anyway.

Ideally I would build such a jig but there doesnt seem to be much out there that I have found. Anyone have a home built setup like the one above or experience with this type of tenon maker?

    Thanks,
    Bill

Don't know if you've seen the one that Rockler sells (it's similar to the one shown above) so here's the link.

Thanks UC, I have seen that one. Two advantages I see to the one I found were that the router mounts to it so you dont need a router table and for less $$ you get all the template sizes.

Edit: actually I see now that the Rockler jig doesnt have to mount in a table.. Hmm.
