The missus has given me a project to think about and decide if I want to do it.
Do I want to do it? Absolutely. But I don't know if it's cost effective.
I have twin 4-year old girls, and the thought was to give them some dwarfish loft beds. Leave four feet under the bottom rail for them to play, read, whatever.
I''d like to make it out of dimensional pine lumber. There's no real need for finish-caliber wood, but I'd still like it to look nice. Any advice or hints at how I should tackle this? I'll obviously need to build two.
I was thinking either 4x4 or 2x4 posts, with support rails done in some form of tenon or lap joint.
