    Now you telling me!

But go on - which particular penofin, and where'd you buy it?

My one thought is that any steel wool particles left behind in the application process may cause rust specks. I have no basis or experience upon which to make that statement.

Perhaps using one of those 3M-brand abrasive pads would be a safer choice.

        OutDoor table project

So, I just bought a small table that is made of cedar, is raw, unstained, not oiled, etc. I want to make it the same color as the rest of my outdoor furniture, but i don't know what to put on it. I was thinking about using an all-purpose sealer I usually use for indoor porjects & putting stain on it, however the stain I have is water based. Any suggestions? Oh the cedar is very smooth & very very light, almost white-blonde. I live in the North-West & it is humid & usually wet here. I usually put Thompson's water sealer on things to be outdoors but will that work with my idea?
