    A few results

Here is the results of some Christmas gift work

And here is the first stocking stuffer! Made out of maple reclaimed from a bowling alley lane and walnut scraps in the shop. The little black dimples are nail holes from where the maple boards were nailed together.. The planer removed two nails and the jointer got the last remaining nail!

Pretty good project for a novice turner, even if I do say so myself!

Hmmm, somebody is going to get a nice pile of shavings, I'd rather have the plane that produced them

Hmmm... I actually like the shavings. They look pretty neat. Can't wait to see what they came from, but the the record, I'd be happy with the shavings.

        Is that weird?

              A note from Mrs. Shoottx

              A note from Mrs. Shoottx

FYI, pretty shavings like these, a few small pine cones, and some fragrance concentrate from Michaels or Hobby Lobby, and you have potpourri.

Would'nt want to waste anything now.......

OK. If you're taking guesses, my guess is a two-tone cutting board of walnut
                and maple.

Look pretty good, Mike. Someone should be a happy camper to get them.

Well the shavings would look good as a garland on your Christmas tree but the mallet looks too nice to use.

As for the gerbel comment.... now that stupid joke about the carpet layer, the lump and the mallet is stuck in my head, gee thanks..

                      Bill,

Bill, you took the words right off of my keyboard... Looks like the neck on my Ibanez SR480... Hopefully it holds up as well!

I would be real prone to building a shadow box for that thing and making sure it never sees any sort of abuse... Kind of like Rod Kirby's hand screw clamp....
