    Desk Clock

I am making this from one of the burls that I scored on Sunday. The clock insert is 50 mm so you can get an idea of the overall size. I'll put the finish on as soon as my hand heals, I buggered up my hand trying to open the finish can.

I like it. Gonna look sharp with finish. Hope the hand gets healed soon. Suprised you didn't turn something with the burl though Dick. Pat

      Very nice.

BTW, am I the only one that sees the profile of a dog in the grain of the wood?

Looks great Dick. How do you sand the uneven edges without changing the natural look?

I have wanted to try this but whenever I have experimented I always sand through the curves or cant get into the deeper crevices.

I started to post the same thing but luckily got to your post before doing so. I couldn't figure out how everyone was seeing a dog when it was clearly a gorilla.
