    I'll have to try that idea... I go through chocolate syrup bottles about one per week. And the Tightbond glue bottle drives me nuts. Thanks for the idea.

      It probably goes without saying that if any kids would be within the property limits, make sure the original label is completely gone, and put "Mr. Yuck" stickers all over.

      There are lots of other woodworking uses for chocolate syrup bottles.

      If you're wiping on poly or other finishes, it's much neater to squirt some onto the rag or project instead of constantly dipping it (also allows you to keep can closed).

      If a small area to be painted would look better applied with the roller, but you really don't want to get out the pan, you can squirt paint onto the roller (takes a little practice) or onto the surface and roll it out.

      If you French polish, and do it the really authentic way, which calls for lots of small daubs of alcohol, the syrup bottle is a great way to apply just a little bit and close up the container quickly.
