Stool - WIP

Good day

Sorry that you have to be the victims of my excitement but, when I show it to my wife, I get this "nice, so when it will be finished?".

It's nothing spacial, just small stool (14" height), all the joints are dowels that you can see the method on the "Doweling on router table" but this time it's a little bit more complicated than a simple frame.

The doweling itself took me 35 minutes that includes the router table settings and a few times changing between Left and Right but, it's a pleasure when everything fits like a Lego.

Still, a lot of sanding, gluing, sanding and finish have to be done but that's easy...

Nice as usual...but you've heard all the accolades many times already

Never really worked with dowels besides some crude carpentry projects where details weren't critical. Can you elaborate on how you drilled for the dowels and secondy, what methods did you employ to ensure alignment. I obviously see the tape and their respective markings. Is that all you used to center the pieces and their respective holes?

The masking tape marking has nothing to do with the dowels location, it's just to mark the boards location to each other for the grain pattern, "Face" and "Back" (or inside-outside).

This is great, and I love the simplicity of the doweling machine you made, and seeing how effective it works. Very nice joints.
