    I didn't like the way the two-part epoxy worked, so I might give this a try. I'm down to the short strokes, so something's got to happen soon!

      I was just doing some review of this project and realized I hadn't closed the loop on this topic.

      I tried all the suggestions, working with scrap mahogany drilled to emulate the offending knot hole. I decided to use the superglue and sawdust mix and it worked out great.

      The five minute epoxy was too thick to work with in this tiny area. Same with Titebond. The superglue was very runny, even with sawdust mixed in, making it very good for stuffing in the small hole. In the end it looked like a little discoloration, nothing more. I'd think epoxy would be better the imperfection is larger, requiring more fill.

      The repair was very easy to finish up, once set. I hit it with file once or twice to get it near flush, then sand paper.

      Thanks for the advice guys. I hope this thread helps someone else looking for a little finishing trick.
