    Any idea what wood this is?

    I've been told it's teak. Or looks like it. I haven't spent enough time around expensive boats to know.
    The stuff is very hard and very dense. Thanks Pat

    Pat It could be teak, but like You I haven't seem much of it. The USAF made me a footlocker out of teak in 1966 to use to pack my valuables in before I came home from the action over there. I wish I still had it. Bill

      could be teak, or olive wood.

          I was going to say olive wood... To find out if it's teak, throw it in a pool and see if it floats...

            Don't know much about Teak, but just the other day Reva was telling me about a new wood that they got in at her work. It's called Iroko and is also known as African Teak, apparently the same properties as Teak at about 1/8 the cost. I'm planning on looking into it a little more but don't know much at this stage.
            If it ain't broke.. don't fix it!!!... but you can always 'hop it up'
