    Dictionary Stand

Has anyone come across plans for a Mission Style/Arts & Crafts dictionary stand? Have found pictures but no plans. Any one remember seeing a source?

I gave up coveting those huge funk and wagnalls and websters unabridged for CD-ROMS about 10 years ago. Even though I wanted for many years before that a full sized dictionary.

Just make it from the picture, pal. ;-D
David Marks did an episode on building a library book stand. It may be available on his site or the DIT site.

Here's the David Marks/WoodWorks stand that Ken mentioned:

        http://www.djmarks.com/woodworks/311.asp

Plans are available ($14.95), but as Ken also suggests, you could easily make your own version using the pictures as a guide. This was an especially interesting WoodWorks project because DJM purposely built it using only hand power tools (jig saw, router, etc: no big stationary stuff) to demonstrate what could be done in a limited shop.

It's a nice enough piece but I'm not sure it's exactly what leaps into my mind when someone says "Arts and Crafts."

Actually - that's exactly what I was thinking! You're scary Massingale!

Thanks for the pic Rick, I'm going to scope out some measurements from another one and scale to your pic.
