    To many rails.

I have 4 sets of black and 4 sets of silver fence rails that need homes. Anyone interested? Looking mainly to cover shipping, my time, and gas to the shipping drop off.

Someone was saying they needed a set in Australia not to long ago.

Are these the rails that I can use to extend the rip capacity of my saw? I would like to get one set if so. Please let me know how much and how to pay. I will try to PM you. Thanks for your consideration.

I’m also interested if these are still around for my bt3100. Color does not matter. Thanks!

The box would be approx. 10-12 lbs.
            with dimensions of 43” X 8" X 8"

I would like to ask $20 for the pair itself. I would have to create the box/packaging from packing materials I can scavenge at work. This should not be too hard as we have a lot of large objects coming thru pretty regularly.

I would likely ship from my local FedEx retail in 66212

FedEx Home Delivery appears to be the cheapest.

Black rails match BT3100, silver rails match BT3000, but either will work with either saw if you are not fussy about appearance. All the important dimensions will line up.
There are the wide rail kit rails you need to extend the crosscut width of the fence location. Be aware you need to fabricate a set of appropriate legs. usually can be done with some pieces of 2x4 and 1x2 for support and some hardware to connect the rails to the legs and to the set on the saw. Lots of articles on this site how others have done it.

Definitely mark me down for a set, please. Black if you’ve got them, but I’m not picky. Tell me where to send my monies and how. And happy grumpydad day!

and thanks, Loring, for your faq and incredible contributions here. I’ve wanted a bt3000 for 20 years, and I finally got a 3100 last week. Just tore it down, cleaned and oiled, and you’ve already helped me a ton!

I think that having all rails the same color may be gooD, but not because I’m a color matcher but because the black front rail for the bt3100 has a wider scale at the front it would not only look mismatched (OK with me) but it would have an edge that could catch a sleeve or gouge an arm compared with the scale edges being the same width. Just a thought.

as far as connecting the rails, there was a repost (with pictures or sketches) of one guys method (I can’t locate it) where he used two pieces of steel in the vertical slot and horizontal slot of the rails and then connected them by using 1/2” threaded rod with a 90 degree hook on the internal end going thru a hole drilled in the old rail with the rod tightened with a fender washer and a nut on the outboard end. It seemed like a workable idea. Legs as Loring suggested will still be needed.

I found the post using 1/2” threaded rod to add extension rails, check link below:
