    Looking for miter base BT3000

I am hoping to find a miter base 969228-003 (the part that the miter table slides on). No, I certainly didn't cut through a portion of mine. No way.

    Found One - Thanks!

Actually picked up a whole saw with everything but the dust bag for $50 this last weekend off craigslist . Being that Ryobi wants $80 for the sled - I am stoked! If anybody needs anything -just let me know. The saw is in great condition and is a BT-3000.

I missed your previous post, but It's not like I could have helped much anyways. I would have reccomended looking on CL for a cheap parts machine.

Nice find on the extra saw.

I'm trying to figure out how you didn't cut your SMT base?

Well I would never use my table saw as a work bench to make just a quick cut w/ the circular saw. Amazing how quietly and cleanly aluminum cuts!

I did check ebay, but only found complete SMT units available.

Take a look at what I did. Sorry I could'nd get just the saws, ignore the rest! It works out great, rip and crosscut without changing blades. Its great when you can save your size as well. I ended up with this after buying a parts saw a couple of years back. It was literally in boxes, completely unassembled.

              I figured that's what happened.

Ebay isn't the easiest place for cheap parts. It takes time and luck there.

If you've got the room, a frankensaw is appealing.

Whats the date code? I'm looking for a real metal BT3000 handwheel; the early ones 1992-1993 had a metal wheel that was a circle with a crossbar. The later handwheel was a plastic affair with a fake plastic crossbar, the whole thing is plastic and the web is filled in with a decal that shows which way to turn it.
