    Parting out -- it died!!!

    BT3100 Parting Out

So there I was this weekend, happily sawing away, when my BT3100 made this chilling death rattle and stopped. The autopsy revealed 4 missing segments on the armature, along with the accompanying multiple compound fractures of the brushes. Sooo, I decided to go on to a Grizzly, for better or worse, although we know it is hard to beat the 3100. Anyway, I'm parting mine out. It is about 5 years old. Except for the motor, it is in "good" condition as opposed to "excellent". This is NOT a like new machine, it was a running, in use machine right up to the fatal embolism. Some parts may, (or may not), have a little stain or paint over spray, it shows that wood has been slid over the surface. However, as I said, it was an in use machine, so nothing impedes use of any of the parts, they just cosmetically don't look like they just came out of the box so I think I have them priced accordingly. If you think the price is too high, PM me and we'll talk. If you want something I don't have listed, ask. I even have the original manual if someone needs it. All prices are without shipping.

    1. SMT w/fence - $30 SOLD & shipped
    2. Fence - $30 SOLD & shipped
    3. Shark guard and splitter (Riving knife) - Smoked Poly w/cobalt blue finish - $60 SOLD & shipped
    4. Rails - Front and Rear - $40 SOLD & shipped
    5. Throat plates -1) an original Lee clear poly ZCTP.2) a Plastic 45 degree ZCTP 3) a plastic Dado ZCTP 4) an original metal straight cut TP and 5) and original metal Dado TP - $15 for all five w/screws SOLD & shipped
    6. Router accessory table with five plastic rings and mounting plate for Porter Cable 690 type router - $30 SOLD & Shipped
    7. 2 Miter Slot tray - $20 SOLD & shipped
    8. New Belts still in plastic bag - $15 SOLD & shipped
    9. Wrenches - $5 SOLD
    10 Sears Micro adjuster - like new - $15 SOLD & shipped
    11 Stand - $15
    12 ? - ?

For ease of reading, at this point, item 11 is all that has NOT BEEN at least spoken for, if not SOLD.

Serious now -- my step daughter is a kidney receipent and I am an organ donor. I believe in it. Serious off.

It was a good machine to me and I will be glad if it can make others happy also.

No slap intended... Was just drawing a parallel. Please try to get used to my tongue-in-cheek humor. For better or worse, you'll see it a lot here, hence the "wink" smiley.

My bad -- was not taken wrong at all. I got your meaning. I was just stating a truthful fact so that people would know I was not joking at that particular moment, which I am also prone to do and sometimes I forget the smiley!!

Note my come back in the same vein after the "serious off".

Just wanted to report that my miter table and microadjuster came today. Extremely fast shipping and great packing. My RHS attachment kit came today as well (from komatoast) so I'm excited to get my saw configured for two sets of miter slots...
