    New Insulation

At least it is to Me. It is R13 from JohnsManville. It is called ThermoComp, and it is

plactic encased. I didn't need much, but it was sure easy to work with. Bill

Hey Bill...If it's plastic encased, what good is it? I used R-13 batts from Owens-Corning, Kraft faced one side, when I put up new ceilings. Not too bad. Stayed together and didn't make me itch.

      not at the borg

used to buy the stuff regularly when I'd redo rooms. Not sure it was called thermocomp, but it was JM product, r-13, fit a 2x4 cavity perfectly, came in a big 18foot roll or so, plastic jacket all around. Could buy at the borg or lowes. JM had it in an r-19 as well for 2x6 joist cavity type spaces.

Then JM must not have agreed to the Borg's demand for a "discount" cuz the borg doesn't sell any JM insulation anymore. Forget who they went to, but a lesser name. Anyway, all of their products are the old kraft faced, open fiberglass stuff. Have to make a trip to lowes now, not as many up here so much farther. But, once you deal with the plastic encased stuff, would never go back, why?
