hardwood floor install question - re: pieces with no tongue

(I thought I'd ask here first, before going to a hardwood flooring forum and getting beat up...)

I got a great deal on some "cabin" grade hardwood flooring - I don't mind the streaks, and knots, and I understand what "cabin" grade means.

The problem is that about 20% of it has no tongues.

Not a stubby tongue, or a cracked tongue - none. flush.

What the heck do I do with these?
Face nail them all? Will that even work?
Route out a grove and glue in a spline?

I have installed a good bit of hardwood - but never anything this grade, so I am afraid I just don't know what to do with it.

    Thanks for your help...

When I installed flooring in my previous home I face nailed the first 3-4 rows I started on and the last 2-3 rows when I finished you can also use it in closets. If you spread these pieces out it should be ok to use.I made all of the transition pieces from hardwood onto carpet from flooring and had to remove the tongues for this as well.
I found a lot of uses for the left over flooring.I used the last of mine making a slide out keyboard shelf to match an oak desk for my daughter.
I even considered using flooring to make at coffee table top but never got around to it.
