One of the problems with contractor saws is (as noted) blade alignment. Many of the modern contractor saws have a common lineage. Some are better quality with heavier duty castings, but the internals are basically identical. The problem is that the trunnions are mounted to the table, which makes adjustments difficult. The pedestal-mounted trunnions on cabinet saws are allegedly easier to align the table to the blade. I looked quite extensively at the grizzly cabinet saws last year, but most models were apparently plagued by alignment issues when raising/lowering the blade. I'm stuck with my crappy old Chinese import contractor saw until i can afford the big iron.
