Welcome to the forum, I'm new here as well. My bt3100 has performed flawlessly for years, just as yours has.

Chances are not everyone is as nutty about them as we are. This is an excellent resource if you own the saw, but many who owned the saw may not have been aware of it, not computer savvy or may have already disposed of the saw. It has been a long time since the last one rolled of the assembly line!

Welcome to an awesome resource for the BT3000.

I was visiting my in-laws last weekend and saw that their neighbor had a BT3000 sitting on a furniture dolly in his garage. He didn't even know it was a BT3000, he had bought it used for $100 or so. Told him about this site, but he didn't seem all that much into the saw. He didn't seem to do much woodworking, mostly furniture refinishing.

OMG! Someone needs to call BT3k Protective Services and have that saw removed from the home. Think of the damage that could be done to its fragile ego.

                  VtMikey and RCPlaneguy,

Welcome to you both! This is a great website and forum with a wealth of knowledge from many great members.

My BT ownership only goes back to about 2005, but I too am a great fan of this table saw, having choosen it after doing a lot of looking around. It has served my needs very well.

                  Welcome,

                      welcome and hello

I have been lurking on this site for quite a while, I don't know why i never registered before. I have had my bt3100 since 2002, it is still in very good condition. Before this year, I use to do my woodworking in a double car garage, sharing the space with my wife's car. My wife is pretty particular about keeping her car dust free, so she was always cringing and grumbling whenever my saw was purring. Last year my oldest son left home (joined the army to be a mechanic) and my wife wanted to downsize the house; I agreed to her request with the condition that I would get a place to set up my woodworking shop. In march of this year, we moved in a bungalow with a triple garare. The first 3 month after the move were spent doing some painting, and making the house our home. I finally started working on my shop; I closed off a bay (it has a single garage door), and I'm currently in the process of building cabinet/workbench. My BT3100 is working hard these days. I'll post pics has my shop takes shape.

Welcome aboard! I still remember looking up the BT-3 some years ago when I saw it at Home Depot - I wanted to make sure it wasn't a "cheap" saw. I found this site and I knew I had to get it!! Great saw - great people and info here!!

Does she have a nice car? Fun to drive?
Tell her driving it on the highway about 90 MPH will get all the dust off in short order. It works.
