    McFeelys Screws - which finish?

I have just about used up my supply of BORG zinc plated wood screws and have been looking at McFeelys website. I have seen a lot of posts here recommending them.

What finish do you use? Not sure if I should get zinc, black oxide, or unplated. If used for interior only, unplated should work OK, right. If not, what is the difference between zinc and black oxide. I talked to McFeely customer service and she read a few comments but it didn't give me much info.

    TIA

Did you read this page at mcfeeley's?

    http://www.mcfeelys.com/tech/materials.asp

The way I read it is that both are very low on the corrosion protection scale and the choice is pretty much cosmetic. Unplated would be at the bottom of the scale I posted (also from McFeeley's.) I'd personally avoid the unplated and go with either the black or zinc for interior use.

Thanks for the link. I should have searched their website more but on dialup at 26K, it gets to be a pain.

      Thanks
