No replies expected just had to tell you....

Well, after several years of hearing how darn great the woodworker ll saw blades were I finally ordered one just minutes ago. I am so excited I'm about to wet myself. I got the thin blade and am hoping like crazy I won't need the stiffener. I paid $89.00 with free shipping by the way. Yeah I know I should have waited for a sale or something but I always miss them anyway or can't afford it at the time but I got it now, darn it. Just had to tell somebody and when I told the wife she didn't seem like she was all that excited. Maybe she just isn't feeling well? Anyway color me extremely happy and anxious.

That seems like a pretty good price to me! I've been pricing them out locally in my area and the best I've seen is $99. Please post back how it works out for you. I've been back and forth on getting one myself. I have some strange blade marks on my rip cuts that I'm wondering if a better blade would fix.

I expect you to be honest and tell us you did wet yourself after you use the WW II, Mac.

Thanks for the replies and yes I will post again after using it. Well she'd been more excited had I mentioned she could spend that $89.00 on shoes I suppose. Not to worry Ken. I had anticipated doing that so have decided I'd go naked the very first time I used it. Now isn't that a pretty vision. Sorry I just had to ruin everybodys breakfast.

May be mistaken, but didn't I read somewhere that you had to

"...remove all loose dangling 'jewel-ry'..." prior to operating machinery

            sorry, couldn't resist.

Welllll, Mac. I was going to say 'No pics, didn't happen' to the pants wetting, but under those circumstances, I'll not be doing that! ;-D

I know exactly how you feel about the wife response...or should say wife "non-response". That's why I come here! You can borrow this pic until yours arrives!

If you never used a top shelf blade, you just might wet yourself!
Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

Hey Ken. You got me. Waiting on those pictures aren't you. Well I did get it in 2 days ago and I actually mentioned it only minutes ago on a post I made on the subject " Blade Height " but thought I'd wait until I actually used it to actually announce it. But since you caught me let me tell you my findings so far. Packaging was real good. It came in a good sturdy box that even the post office couldn't screw up not that they were the ones to deliver it. I think UPS. Anyway back to the blade. The teeth were coated with a rubber like protection stuff which was very easy to remove. Just broke it at one spot and simply pulled the entire strip off. I was a little disappointed however in the blade itself in that the lettering is not real clear, a little faded here and there although readable. Also on several of the teeth the weldings have little air gaps or voids in them and the thickness of the weldings are not uniform. This surprised me. The smooth shiny polished finish that I've come to expect on all other blades is not there at all. I guess I expected a shiny smooth polished blade which this is not in any way. Compared to DeWalt or actually any other blade I've ever seen anywhere except at HF this blade looked the roughest with all the poor welding uniformities, welding voids and overall blade appearance. If not for all the great reviews I've read about I would be thinking I paid a premium price for a non-premium blade. Anyway that's my initial reaction. Hope it cuts better then it looks. As mentioned in my other post it's winter down here right now and I don't dare step foot in the icebox - I mean garage as it's like 32 degrees. COLD!!! As soon as it warms up - if it ever does - I'll be posting on how it performs. I'm hoping it'll live up to it's reputation. Thanks for asking and hope I wasn't too negative but this is one rough looking blade. Ugly!
