    want to buy Bt3100

    Hello.

I am new to the forum and I have a number of questions I'm hoping you can answer.

My local HD in San Ramon actually had the Bt3100 priced at $229, down from $299, but unfortunately they are out. The only thing they have in stock is the floor model at $169, but it's pretty beaten up.

Homedepot.com says they are temporarily out of the saw and Ryobi doesn't even show it anymore on their website.

    Is the Bt3100 discontinued?

If so, what is the replacement model?

    thanks,

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

Welcome to the forum! Check out this recent thread: http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=24006

It looks like the Craftsman equivalent is a pretty viable option. I have not checked it out myself, though.

If you really have your heart set on the BT3 but don't have any luck finding one, there is not a shortage of members who post ads here, either for parting out or selling the whole thing. Keep your eyes peeled in the Member Classifieds area. Needless to say, there are also Craigslist and eBay.

Let us know what you end up doing.

Welcome, the floor model may be beat up but that's a pretty good price. Accessories available at time on the forum make it worth taking a chance, IMO.

I would buy it and contact Ryobi warranty and tell them what is missing, they might help You out. At least You got the basic without paying shipping, You can go from there. Bill

          bought another saw (used)

I ended up buying a used Hiatchi tablesaw off craigslist. Good deal too. $200 for the CF10L stationary table saw. It was in excellent condition and came with a dado set as well. I figure the seller spent about $600 plus tax about a year ago.

Too bad Ryobi. I would have bought the 3100 if I could only find one.
