I am living in big boston area. By far the only lumber yard I know that is close to me is in New Hampshire. They have a retail lumber yard with decent priced hardwood. I want to know where do people in this forum who live in New England area normally buy their hardwood from, especially the lumberyard or sawmill which has cheap price. I guess everybody knows a good source of cheap but good quality hardwood will greatly lower your cost of the projects. I believe there should be some places around here have cheap price, just need to find out where.

I assume you mean Highland Hardwoods in Brentwood NH (http://www.highlandhardwoods.com/). I drive right past the place every day on my commute. I might suggest you make the trip at least once, it's a great place to buy wood, you're gonna think you're in hardwood mecca. Yes, the lumber yard I am talking about is Highland Hardwood. I have been there several times and got around 200 bdf of hardwood, most of them are cherry special. It is a very good place. But I am just trying to find some even better place, might be smaller sawmill, but have cheaper rough hardwood.Comment
