Try this...make sure the saw is unplugged first...then
Adjust both the front and back rails so that they are about centered with the saw body. Lock the back rail.
Put the 2" side of a table square against the blade and slide the rip fence against the square. Leave the fence unlocked. Unlock the front rail and, while holding the rip fence so it wont slide, slide the front rail PAST the 2" mark.
Now, leaving the fence unlocked and against the square, which is against the blade, tap the front rail to the left until you get to the 2" mark and lock the front rail. I had to make a few minor adjustments to get it dead on by unlocking the front rail and tapping it ever so slightly one way or the other.
Also, be aware that your 2" cut may be slightly short if the square was against the body of the blade and not the tooth of the blade.
After the front rail is on the 2" mark, use the right accessory table to adjust the back rail so that it is the same as the front rail.

Don't lull yourself into not painting that line. The moment you do, and you think you've gotten your SMT far enough to not need it, it's gonna happen! (you KNOW what IT is - the smell of burning black ABS).
